Some pictures from an visit to an old coast artillery battery in Sweden.
This type of battery is called TAPJ 10,5/50 which means "10,5cm turreted automatic gun".

Only 3 of these batteries were built during the 1950-60s.
The battery had 2 Bofors 10,5cm automatic guns, the 2 guns were spread out on 2 diffrent islands to give them better protection!

The whole place used to be off-limits.
Fire control for the gun, this cupola contains a high power binocular and a laser range-finder.

Behind the cupola is a older periscope.
When we entered the cupola we realized that it was housed into the old gunturret for the 8,4cm battery that was built here during WW2!

These are the magazines for the gun, i think that each magazine holds 18 grenades.

Training rounds, each grenade weighs 37kilo.
This is the lower part of the periscope seen earlier.

The periscope again.
The radar is a simple civilian style navigation radar to keep an eye on the nearby sound.
An old bunker from the WW2 era 8,4cm battery, this bunker used to house the range finding equipment.
