Chinaslams'troublemaker' Japan after Africa visit
AddisAbaba(AFP) - China launched a scathing diplomatic attack against Japan onWednesday, warning African nations of an impending "resurrection ofJapanesemilitarism" and branding Prime Minister Shinzo Abea"troublemaker".
Ina pressconference held the day after Abe wrapped up a landmark African touraimed atboosting Japan's presence in the continent, China's ambassador to theAfricanUnion accused him of trying to undermine Beijing's own diplomaticreach.
"Abehasbecome the biggest troublemaker in Asia," Xie Xiaoyan, who is alsoChina'sambassador to Ethiopia, told reporters.
"Hehasworkedhard to portray China as a threat, aiming to sow discord, raisingregionaltensions and so creating a convenient excuse for the resurrection ofJapanesemilitarism," the ambassador said at the news conference, duringwhich heshowed photographs of tortured and dead Chinese victims of World WarII.
Healleged thatthe conservative Japanese leader's visit to Africa was part ofwhat he describedas a "China containment policy".
"Theworldwill have to be on the alert that this prime minister is leading thecountryonto a very dangerous road, and the international community shoulddoeverything to prevent Japan from going down even further along theroad,"he said.
Xiealsorepeated criticism over Abe's visit last month to the Yasukuni warshrine, believed to be the repository of around 2.5 million of Japan's wardead, including several high-level officials executed for war crimes after WorldWarII.
"Thinkhowprovocative it would be if Germany were to pay homage to a shrine honouringsay,Hitler," he said.
Abe'sthree-countryAfrica tour, which took him to Ivory Coast, Mozambique andEthiopia, was aimedat boosting Japan's economic and political ties withAfrica, where China'swidespread investments and interests arelong-established.

Those supporting Japan only because they knows NOTHING about what Chinese and otherAsians suffered during the WWII. You think what Nazi did to Jewish people isthe worst? That is nothing compare to what Japan did in WWII.Do you think it is O.K that two Japan man slaughters each beheaded more than ahundred Chinese just for a bet who is braver? And this is not a single case.Do you think it is O.K for Japan training soldiers by piercing swords intoChinese tied up on poles alive? Again, Japanese believe doing this make thesoldiers stronger and braver.Do you think it is O.K for Japan kidnap Chinese as labor to build militarybases and then kill them all to keep secret?Do you think it is O.K for Japan to test bio and chemical weapons on Chinesepeople alive to replace rats for better results?Do you think it is O.K for Japan to rape millions of Chinese and kept them assex slave to satisfy their honorable soldiers (millions of they arein the shrine now)?Do you think it is O.K that Japan denied all the wrong doings above and kepttelling in their history textbooks that what they did is just to liberate Asianand they are actually the victim?Do you think it is O.K that Japan denied all law suit against their war crimesby Asian people and paid ZERO for what they did?Do you think it is O.K that you support Japan only because you don't likeChina? And ignore the basic moral of being a honest and peace lovinghuman-being?

Theatrocities of the Japanese Empire against Nationalist China in WWII wereutterly evil. But they have *nothing* to do with the current, cynical aggression of CommunistChina against Democratic Japan.China sounds like it is winding up for a war of aggression. No excuses Chinamakes about the past can justify its present actions.

Japanimplemented the ADIZ - Air Defense Identification Zone - in the 1960s.Why?Because it considered China the enemy.Japan extended the ADIZ in 2013.Why?Because it still considered China the enemy.Since Japan considered China the enemy, China must implement the ADIZ.You must remember, Japan never signed any peace agreement with China.Japan has not seen fit to apologize formally to China for the atrocities itcommitted in China during 1937 to 1945. As a matter of fact, it has not seenfit to apologize formally to those nations that it plundered and raped during1939 to 1945 willingly on its own accord.Japanese racism and psychopathy at their best!

China needs to move on from all of this"regional bullying". Japan attacked the USand actually invaded US territory! The US then defeated Japan in war as aresult. Germany attacked the whole of Europe during WWII, then was alsodefeated by the allies as a result. These countries are some of our strongestallies now. They've put the war behind them and China should do the same. Chinais looking for confrontation and revenge for what happenedin WWII.

Onething to keep in mind is that no all Chinese people think as the leadership inBeijing does or the 50 Cent Army posters here do. There are many Chinese whothink differently but are scared of the Chinese version of the "ThoughtPolice" making them disappear if they are vocal about it. So we needunderstand that not all Chinese people support the "bullying"behavior and not paint with too wide a brush. Understanding that, weshould address issues with the Chinese government policies andhow to best work around or circumvent them.

OhChina... You are just a little kid who is having the "Little Emperor"syndrome, so greedy and hate it when someone else is playing with your toy. Notthat I'm saying Africa is China's toy, but the point is China needs to grow up.It's about timeWant an apology from Japan over what happened in the past? Might want to startthink of better ways to achieve it.Senkaku/Diaoyu island dispute, won't win that apology.Claiming things that is not yours, won't win world's respect.Building railways through South East Asia and (maybe) will claim your ownershipover it, not a right move either.Just saying

Itis true that Japan, in the past, made a mistake in their quest for an East AsiaCo-Prosperity Sphere Policy. But, we must also remember that after the SecondWorld War, Japans' Military was primarily for self-defense and they never gotinvolved in any military action except for humanitarian and peaceful purposes, administered and under the direction of the United Nation. That alone, Iconsider, that Japan accepted their mistakes and made regrets and apologies inthe past including their brutal invasion of the Philippines, China, and othercountries in Asia committing atrocities and destroying cities and countless oflives in the process... Fast forward to current events, the same mistake madeby Japan more that half a century ago is now being made by CHINA. China'sgrowing economy and military also bloated their ego that they now considerthemselves as the sole superpower in Asia and thought that they have the rightto invade other territories owned by other countries like Vietnam, the Philippinesand even Japan. It doesn't mean that because a sea that was named after acountry also means that they own the the sea itself and all the landmass thattouches it's water. CHINA IS THE REAL TROUBLEMAKER NOT JAPAN! China is usingthe past to justify their action in the present time and blaming it to Japan. But how about their military action perpetrated against Vietnam and thePhilippines, is it not illegal? China invaded islands belonging to thePhilippines and within the internationally recognized economic zone. China alsoinvaded island that belongs to Vietnam and massacred the soldiers stationed inthat outpost. Still, China is not a troublemaker? China declared a huge swathof airspace as part of their territory which also encompass islands thatbelongs to Japan, and according to latest reports, China is now preparing toinvade another island in the Spratleys that belongs to the Philippines andmanned by Filipino soldiers. As to the accuracy of these report, we will knowin the coming months. Lately, China just declared that the sea is off limits toall fishermen without proper authorization from their government. Now, is Chinaconsidered a country that adheres and follow international law, or is it thebiggest bully in the block. Southeast and East Asia in particular. The economicprosperity of China also created the biggest troublemaker in this century andonly time will tell how China's action will affect the future.

Why are we (USA) supporting and protecting Japan after what the (J)aps did in WW2?Torture, rape, murder, pillage...etc. Not just to civilians but also to ourservice men.Is it because we tell the (J)aps to jump, and they bow and reply "Sir, howhigh?"
