一项最新研究发现,中世纪人类的平均身高是1.73米,比他们十七世纪和十八世纪的后代高出几厘米。

美国俄亥俄州立大学科学家里查德·斯特克尔根据北欧出土的人体骨骼数据,分析了九至十九世纪人类的身高状况。结果表明,从十二世纪开始,人类的平均身高不断下降,十七和十八世纪时达到最低值:1.67米。

人类身高变化是衡量健康状况和食品供应状况的标尺。科学家认为,九至十二世纪人类身材较高的一个原因可能是当时气候相对温暖。高温条件下,粮食和其他农作物的耕作期延长了3至4星期。此外,当时人口稀少,人类有大量土地从事农牧生产,这也能提供更多食物。

至于人类身高为什么十八和十九世纪又开始增长,科学家猜测,可能是源于农业生产率提高和医疗健康条件改善。


正好可以佐证原文。


再附带说:


求求各位不要拿古书里记载的那些将领身高来说事了。比如《三国志》,里面没有关羽身高记载,也没有吕布的,相反有赵云的八尺记载(在裴松之注里),好些人说的什么九尺之类都是演义里写的。有具体身高记载的人还有太史慈、马腾、曹操、程昱等,虽然高矮不一(很多人只列高的),但始终都是个案说明不了太多。用兵马俑来说事的我就更服了,雕塑不能说明太多的。你高兴还可以把兵马俑缩小成一米高呢,难道中国人就变成一米高了吗?

信也好不信也好,中国人古代时平均身高也就在165——170波动(生活条件差时矮点,好时高点),取167比较合适。

什么基因不基因的,根本不是现在中国人比欧洲人矮的理由。生活水平才是关键。欧洲人的基因只会使得中国人的四肢伸长面貌等体征和他们不一样,骨骼粗细等等也有所不同,身高则根本不是。国人近代以后饱受吸食鸦片、缠足、战乱(吃不上饭,缺医少药)等等疾苦,国民身体素质是受到过一个时期的摧残的,所以今天较古代也没有太大进步(可以理解为一个恢复并发展的缓慢过程)很正常。西方社会却日新月异,所以长高很多很正常。这才是我们该反思的!


有拿基因说事的,会扛出克罗马农人,克罗马农人确实欧洲晚期智人中最高大的(男约182,女约167),但克罗马农人离今天大约3万年,这一期间的人类变化你能知道吗,何况克罗马农人是全部欧美人的祖宗吗?谁教你的?山顶洞人也不矮啊,男的174呢,大汶口等等接近文明社会的原始居民还170左右呢,所以许多人类学者认为中国男性平均身高长期也就在170左右呢。
