China hits back at U.S. arms sale to Taiwan

‘This is the strongest reaction we've seen,’ analyst says”

"We don't want to piss off the Chinese. Where will we get all our cheap, poisonous, Walmart products made?

You know, if we loose our access to their cheap labor the US will have to do something desperate, like start putting unemployed US workers back to work. "

"This might be the first thing Obama & crew did right.

Sell weapons to taiwan, piss off china, now they won't lend us money.

Kind of like a dealer cutting off a crackhead.

Self help.

Love it. "

"China...get over Taiwan and move on. ??? This is a non-event and China will get over it. They have to flex their muscles a bit but the they know very well the mega-billions of money they have at stake in US dollars is worth much more than making big waves about Taiwan. Look at who they summoned to speak to...some underling who has no voice whatsoever in US policy. Let's sell an aircraft carrier complete with aircraft and see what happens."

"I think China should slap a trade embargo on us. No more goods allowed to the USA."

"The Chinese are patient, and this is just bluster.

They will, however, probably hold some military exercises to "flex their muscles".

They will also probably slow down any new purchases of American debt, which could lead to inflation and a decline in the value of the $Dollar.

I'm surprised that China isn't using their $Dollar reserves to purchase more hard assets (natural resources and real estate) as a hedge against inflation and the declining value of the $Dollar.
